A yellow gold brooch in the form of a dog, set with six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.12 carats, further set with one round old cut natural ruby in an open back grain and rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.03 carats, to an charming dog brooch featuring intricate carving and textured metalwork throughout, and open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure pin and clasp, approximately 4.5cm in length. Marked 18 carat yellow, pin tested white gold, maker's mark 'BRL Ld', full hallmarks for London, English, 1974.
