Set with an octagonal emerald-cutnatural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open backclaw setting with an approximate weight of 4.15 carats, further set with two D-shapestep cutdiamonds in open back half rubover and claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring split corner claws, a structured openwork gallery and geometric open backholing, flanked by inwardly tapering shoulders with cheniers flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, English, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5777-7493.
