Victorian diamondcluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open backrubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.95 carats, encircled by twelve cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.85 carats, flanked by eight cushion shape old mine diamonds in open and closed backclaw and grain settings with a combined weight of 0.82 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.62 carats, to an impressive cluster design featuring polished edges, a smooth gallery and open and closed backholing, leading to intricately carved trumpeting shoulders with scrolling motifs and flowing through to a solid grooved shank. Tested yellow gold, French import marks, circa 1900.
