That will not happen. The only way it it will is if the continued influx of carpet bagger transplants bring their politics and lack of connection to accurate history of this nation and region called "The South".

"Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner- stone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery subordination to the superior race is his natural and normal condition. This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral truth."

I'm afraid it will happen. These leftists have done this to multiple states that have any connection to the Confederacy, including my own.

Take down the #ConfederateFlag at the SC Capitol. To many, it is a symbol of racial hatred. Remove it now to honor #Charleston victims.

Mitt and Jeb are liberals. God help us if Jeb wins the White House.

Look at these dirty liberals. They are just too stupid to breath our air.

There's another flag that flew over American slavery. Has lots of stars and strips on it.

I actually like Mitt, but have to disagree with him here. One the other hand, I can understand where someone who was born in MI and lived in the northeast might feel that way.

Personally, I am not offended by a flag. A flag is an inanimate object that becomes whatever the person looking at it thinks it is. For many Blacks, it is a symbol of racism and oppression that was used by many racist Whites when inflicting terrible acts that sometimes included lynching Black people. For some Whites, it is the ultimate symbol of that oppressive attitude and a symbol that is thrown in the faces of Blacks as a representation of a time when Blacks were terrorized by racists. For other Whites, it is symbol of the good, positive, and memorable traditions of heritage of a people from a common thread. IMO, there aren't enough of the good White people from a southern heritage that have unequivocally clarified what the flag means. They have allowed the racists, academics, and media to define its meaning.

Lastly, the Confederate flag has nothing to do with this heinous act of terrorism at a place of worship. Nor did a gun cause this act of violence. Somewhere along the line, we as a society lost this young man to an evil understanding. For a man to join a Bible study where the ministry and words of God were being studied and then for that man to break so many of His commandments must be an act of pure evil.
