Sapphire and diamond three stone ring. Set to centre with a round old cut sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.90 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, to an elegant three stone design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and circular open backholing leading to tapering shoulders flowing into a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow and white gold, circa 1940.
