Rare amethyst, emerald and pearlbrooch by Carlo Giuliano. Centrally set with an oval rose cutnatural unenhanced amethyst in a closed backrubover setting with an approximate weight of 10.00 carats, additionally set to the corners with four rectangular baguette cut natural emeralds with no colour enhancement in closed back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.80 carats, interspersed by sixteen oval natural pearls in closed back grain settings, all to an ornate oval brooch with intricate openwork scrolls to the borders, the reverse mounted with a hinged pin with scroll latch. Tested yellow gold, maker's mark 'CG', English, circa 1890.
