John0112 the latest to get banned

Not surprised as he has gotten particularly offensive lately, calling anyone who disagrees with him retarded or stupid. It almost looked like he was trying to get banned.

He was a waste, so I won't miss him at all.

On the flip side, stinkfist is back.

Trump hotel deal in Baku has ties to Iran
Posted by: Fitbuddy - 03-07-2017, 12:16 PM - Forum: The Pub - No Replies

One of Trump’s most ethically hazy deals, and one that may leave the Trump Organization open to federal prosecution: The Trump Organization’s work to build and manage a hotel in Azerbaijan in partnership with corrupt oligarchs, themselves apparently linked to individuals tight with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

To build the Trump International Hotel & Tower Baku — a project conceived in 2008, and nearly finished, but never opened to the public — the Trump Organization worked with the family of Azerbaijan’s transportation minister and a powerful oligarch, Ziya Mammadov. The project has plenty of problems — it’s in the wrong part of town, and can’t compete with existing high-end hotels there — but seems likely to have fallen prey to the notoriously lax local ethics for business dealings.

Dmitry Rybolovlev keeps flying in to meet Donald Trump
Posted by: Fitbuddy - 03-06-2017, 12:43 PM - Forum: The Pub - No Replies

Donald Trump claims that he has never met this man even though he sold him a 40 million dollar home for 100 million.

Now it seems that the two of them end up in the same city at the same time.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

Donald Trump Jr. met with pro Russia group?
Posted by: Fitbuddy - 03-03-2017, 01:40 PM - Forum: The Pub - No Replies

Three weeks before Election Day, Donald Trump Jr. left the campaign trail and the country to speak at a private dinner in Paris organized by an obscure pro-Russia group that promotes Kremlin foreign policy initiatives and has since nominated Russian President Vladimir Putin for the Nobel Peace Prize.

A key organizer of the event later told reporters she flew to Moscow to brief a senior Russian official about the session.

The White House referred question about the president’s son to the Trump Organization. A spokeswoman for the Trump business did not initially respond to questions from ABC News about why Donald Trump Jr. flew to France for the session during a critical phase of the presidential campaign, who arranged for him to attend, whether he was paid, what was discussed or if anyone vetted the group before he went.

I'm sure this is just a coincidence.

  Kushner met with Russians?
Posted by: Fitbuddy - 03-03-2017, 01:37 PM - Forum: The Pub - No Replies

President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn had a previous undisclosed meeting with the Russian ambassador in December at Trump Tower in New York, officials confirmed Thursday to Fox News.

The meeting between the Kushner, Flynn, and Sergey Kislyak, first reported by the New York Times, focused on establishing "a line of communication" between the new administration and Russian government, according to the paper.

"Previously undisclosed" How many more times are we going to hear that phrase?

How many more stories are we going to hear before Trump supports start to say maybe there is something there?

After Trump's executive order was struck down, he said he would fight it saying, "I'll see you in court"

Whatever happened with that?

Then he said that this was supposedly critical to our national security. However, here we are almost a month later and still nothing.

I thought this was critical to our national security?

I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

DOJ withdraws case against Texas' voter suppression
Posted by: Fitbuddy - 03-01-2017, 12:08 PM - Forum: The Pub - No Replies

On Monday, the Justice Department made its first major shift away from the role as a defender of voting rights that it played under President Obama — and toward the role as a defender of voter suppression that it is likely to play under President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
In a motion filed in a federal trial court, DOJ asked to withdraw an allegation it made against a Texas voter suppression law almost four years ago.

Further proof that the Republicans want less people to vote.

“I have ordered the Department of Homeland Security to create an office to serve American victims,” he said. “The office is called VOICE—Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement. We are providing a voice to those who have been ignored by our media, and silenced by special interests.”

“By finally enforcing our immigration laws, we will raise wages, help the unemployed, save billions and billions of dollars, and make our communities safer for everyone,” he said. “We want all Americans to succeed, but that can’t happen in an environment of lawless chaos. We must restore integrity and the rule of law at our borders.”

Never mind that immigrants are less likely than native-born citizens to commit crime, as the libertarian Cato Institute has detailed. In Trump’s America, their crime will draw heightened opprobrium, and their victims will get special status. Audible groans could be heard from the Democratic side of the House chamber.
Before the speech, Trump reportedly told news anchors he would be open to an immigration-reform bill offering a path to citizenship for some of the 11 million undocumented immigrants living here, as ABC News reported. But there was no hint of that Tuesday night. Likewise, he didn’t mention his soft spot for undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, even though several of them sat in the gallery seats above him as the guests of Democratic members of Congress.
Instead, Trump spent the speech blaming immigrants for the country’s problems.

Nothing has changed.
