Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond, D colour, SI1 clarity, with a weight of 1.72 carats in a open back rubover setting, to a solitaire design with curved tapering bezel, polished borders and fancy open backholing, the smoothly integrated shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1980, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2434422835.
