Fancy intense yellow diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old minenatural fancy intense yellow diamond, SI1 clarity, with a weight of 2.39 carats, in an open backrubover setting, flanked by two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.89 carats, to an impressive flanked solitaire design featuring polished edges, an ornately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, the slightly raised shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shapeshank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2223772946.
