Set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open backrubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.65 carats, encircled by sixteen tapered baguette cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover and channel settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats, and flanked by six round eight cutdiamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.06 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.71 carats to a target design featuring millegrain edges, a decoratively pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid flat shank. Marked 18 carat gold, indistinct maker's mark, French import marks, circa 1920.
