Citrine, pearl & diamond brooch. Set to centre with an octagonal old cut natural citrine in a open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 11.35 carats, encircled by eight cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.35 carats, further adorned with eight round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats, further set with four round natural pearls in closed back half drilled settings, approximately 3 x 3mm. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.43 carats, to an elegant brooch featuring millegrain edging, stylised foliate motifs and open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure hinge pin and scroll clasp. Tested silver and rose gold, circa 1860.
