Pink Ceylon sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced pink Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with a weight of 2.66 carats, further set with twelve cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.70 carats, to an impressive coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to tri-split shoulders which terminate in ridged detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-2087.
