Description

Edwardian sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back grain setting with a weight of 0.80 carats, encircled by twelve round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.36 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring polished scalloped edging, a decoratively pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, tested platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-4176.
