Set to centre with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced yellow Ceylon sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 6.40 carats, flanked by eight tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover channel settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.65 carats, to a striking flanked solitaire design with polished edges, a solid gallery and fancy open backholing, the broad ridged shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, makers mark 'A B' for Arthus-Bertrand, French, circa 1970, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services Report #5782-1547.
