Description

Victorian Burmese sapphire five stone ring. Horizontally set with five oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphires in open back claw settings with an approximate total weight of 5.50 carats, further set with eight round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate total weight of 0.08 carats, to a an ornate five stone featuring curving claws, a carved gallery with scrolling motifs and pierced open backholing, leading to shoulders carved with a foliate design and flowing through to a tapered D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-1260.

Victorian Burmese sapphire five stone ring. Horizontally set with five oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphires in open back claw settings with an approximate total weight of 5.50 carats, further set with eight round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate total weight of 0.08 carats, to a an ornate five stone featuring curving claws, a carved gallery with scrolling motifs and pierced open backholing, leading to shoulders carved with a foliate design and flowing through to a tapered D-shape shank.
